1. T.K. NARAYANAPPA ENTREPRENEUR CELL
PIMS is committed to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit and fostering innovation, aimed at addressing key challenges in business and technology. The Entrepreneurship Cell, guided by the Director, is led by the Entrepreneurship Coordinator Dr. Padmashree V, operating independently on matters within its purview. It reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. All financial decisions and approvals are overseen by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Objectives
To inculcate the mindset of innovation and promote entrepreneurship amongst students and benefit them, we aim to achieve the following objectives.

4. Project Management Support: The Entrepreneurship Cell facilitates the entire lifecycle of startup projects, from ideation to market launch. This includes providing support for team formation, securing necessary resources and facilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and investor expectations.
5. Collaboration Across Departments: The cell collaborates closely with University departments such as Administration, Finance, and the library.
2. Research House ( Shodha Dhaara )
PIMS is dedicated to fostering excellence in research and innovation, aiming to address significant social sciences issues. The Research Cell, under the guidance of the Director, operates autonomously on matters related to its mandate. It reports to the Chairman and Managing director. All financial decisions and approvals are overseen by both Research and administration.

3. Student Council Committee
The Student Council Committee at Padmashree Institute of Management and Sciences plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant educational environment and encouraging student participation in the governance of the institution. Comprised of elected representatives from various academic disciplines, the committee serves as a bridge between the student body and the administration. Its primary objective is to voice the concerns, ideas, and aspirations of students, ensuring that their perspectives are considered in decision-making processes. Additionally, the council organizes a myriad of activities and events that promote leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility among students. By engaging with students regularly, the committee enhances campus life, promotes a sense of community, and encourages personal and professional development. Objectives of the Student Council:
1. Student Activities: Conducting student activities such as national and international days, cultural fests, freshers day, alumni meets, etc.
2. Leadership Development: Providing opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, fostering their personal growth, and empowering them to take on responsible roles within the student council and the larger community through conducting conferences, guest lectures, etc.
3. Community Engagement: Promoting student engagement and involvement in the educational community by organizing events, activities, and initiatives that foster a sense of belonging, inclusivity, and institutional spirit.
4. Student Welfare: Addressing student concerns and working towards enhancing the overall well-being and experience of students within the institution, including academic support, health and wellness initiatives, and student support services.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating effective communication channels between the student body, administration, faculty, and other stakeholders. Encouraging collaboration and cooperation among students, clubs, societies, and other student organizations.
6. Service and Outreach: Undertaking community service projects, social initiatives, and volunteer activities that benefit the larger community and promote a sense of social responsibility among students. For instance, conducting Blood donation camps, NSS activities, etc.
7. Academic Support: Collaborating with faculty to address academic concerns, promote educational resources, and support student success in their academic pursuits, especially for slow learners.
8. Personal and Professional Development: Offering opportunities for personal and professional growth, including organizing workshops, seminars, and career development initiatives that equip students with relevant skills and knowledge.
The overall objective of a student council is to enhance the educational experience, well-being, and development of the student body while fostering a sense of community, engagement, and active citizenship within the educational institution.

All student council members are to abide by the institutional values and keep ethics and integrity at the highest order. Members who do not follow the institutional values will have to withdraw from their posts.
Weekly meetings with the SC Head (Saturday) to update on the activities planned. Review Meetings with the head of the institute and IQAC Head from time to time for any amendments to the rules or processes.
The treasurer is responsible for the management of financial resources allocated to the student council, including budgeting, expenditure approvals, financial reporting, and transparency.

5. Anti-Ragging & Student Grievance Cell
PIMS assures all students a learning environment free of ragging and will take all efforts to prevent ragging and have in place measures to address the complaints if ragging does take place. Ragging includes any act of abuse, whether physical or mental, targeting another student, whether a new student or a senior, on any ground, including caste, race, colour, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, nationality, regional origins, linguistic identity, place of birth or residence, and economic background. An aggrieved person may report any incident of ragging by sending an email to pimsdirector@gmail.com and the committee will take immediate steps to address the concerns of that person.
Anti-ragging Committee
The committee and its members will put in place all measures to keep PIMS free of ragging. The committee will monitor the complaints on the anti-ragging email to ensure immediate action if there is a complaint. The committee may engage other student and staff volunteers at certain times to prevent ragging at PIMS.
Anti-ragging Committee
The measures to prevent ragging will include, but be limited to the following:
1. Include the anti-ragging policy statement in brochures, manuals, and presentations. Utilize workshops and campaigns to emphasize PIMS’s commitment to eliminating ragging.
2. Undertaking from students accepting the anti-ragging measures at PIMS.
3. Monitoring student behavior to detect ragging, including occasional surprise inspections to prevent subtle forms of ragging.
4. Counselling probable offenders and aggrieved students on appropriate behavior.
5. Escalating cases that might require punitive action as per PIMS norms.
6. The SC Presidents of respective programs will ensure that the anti-ragging policy is circulated to all students of their respective programs at the start of every academic year.
6. Student Counselling Cell
PIMS ensures a student-friendly ambiance. The constitution of the ‘Student Counselling Cell’ is a part of our incessant effort to create a conducive atmosphere. This cell consists of trained and experienced faculty who deal with non-academic grievances, while mentors sort out academic matters.
Objective:
- To counsel students in case of issues in academic performance or discipline and conduct in the campus/ hostels
- To promote overall well-being
- To help grow both intellectually and emotionally and to be more satisfied and productive.
- To improve the quality of life
- To provide help in dealing with emotional and behavioral problems like guilt, anxiety stress, lack of confidence, low esteem, depression, internet addiction of any sort, dependency, and personal problems that might hamper academics.
- Counselling cells foster life skills that make better adjustments and enrich healthy relationships.
