T.K. NARAYANAPPA ENTREPRENEUR CELL

PIMS is committed to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit and fostering innovation, aimed at addressing key challenges in business and technology. The Entrepreneurship Cell, guided by the Director, is led by the Entrepreneurship Coordinator Dr. Padmashree V, operating independently on matters within its purview. It reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. All financial decisions and approvals are overseen by theĀ  Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Mission

“To inspire and educate students through workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs, fostering entrepreneurial spirit and ethical business practices. We provide a platform for aspiring student entrepreneurs to refine their ideas and connect with alumni, industry experts, and investors, facilitating the growth of innovative ventures. By collaborating with institutions, organizations, and government bodies, we aim to create extensive opportunities and resources that empower students to excel in entrepreneurship.”

Objectives

To inculcate the mindset of innovation and promote entrepreneurship amongst students and benefit them, we aim to achieve the following objectives.

1. Entrepreneurial Excellence: The Entrepreneurship Cell emphasizes globally competitive, multidisciplinary entrepreneurship that is relevant to industry and society. It boasts proficient mentors engaged in cutting-edge entrepreneurial ventures, often collaborating with top-ranked national and global institutions.
2. Venture Success and Funding: The cell values successful ventures and aims to establish a track record of securing competitive funding, showcasing the quality and impact of its entrepreneurial endeavors.
3. Entrepreneurship Hub: This serves as the central office coordinating all entrepreneurial activities, including startup incubation, intellectual property management, and industry partnerships. It administers initiatives such as mentorship programs, startup accelerators, and support for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators.
4. Project Management Support: The Entrepreneurship Cell facilitates the entire lifecycle of startup projects, from ideation to market launch. This includes providing support for team formation, securing necessary resources and facilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and investor expectations.
5. Collaboration Across Departments: The cell collaborates closely with University departments such as Administration, Finance, and the library.
