The PIMS R&D Cell serves as a hub for faculty, students, and industry collaborations, enabling them to work on cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary projects, and knowledge dissemination through <publications, patents, and industry-driven studies.

PIMS is dedicated to fostering excellence in research and innovation, aiming to address significant social sciences issues. The Research Cell, under the guidance of the Director, operates autonomously on matters related to its mandate. It reports to the Chairman and Managing director. All financial decisions and approvals are overseen by both Research and administration.

Objectives

To enhance research culture and engagement within our institution, we aim to achieve the following objectives:

Foster increased awareness and enthusiasm among faculty and students for research initiatives.
Inspire staff members to pursue enrollment in Ph.D programs.
Encourage faculty members to initiate and actively participate in UGC and sponsored research projects.
Organize and facilitate workshops for faculty and students on research-related topics to enhance staff development.
Support faculty and students in participating in national and international research competitions.
Facilitate publication of research papers in prestigious national and international conferences/journals.
Develop strategies for collaborative research activities with institutions and industries.
Assist in obtaining funds for organizing seminars, workshops, and faculty development programs from various funding agencies.

Research lab/center: This serves as the central office coordinating all research and development activities, including intellectual property management and industry interactions. It manages programs visiting fellowships, and support for post-doctoral/research associates and research scholars.
Project Management Support: The research cell facilitates the entire lifecycle of research projects, from proposal submission to project execution and completion. This includes managing project staff appointments, procuring necessary equipment and consumables, and ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements.
Coordination Across Functions: The cell collaborates closely with other university offices such as the Registrar, Finance Officer, and Librarian.
